We were a group of four visiting Iran for the first time in Oct 2018 for a total of 15 days. While we usually traveled on our own, we decided to book through travel agencies due to the uncertainty. Although we found out later Iran is safe and easily one of the friendliest/hospitable countries we have visited. We had local guides in other cities and we honestly didn’t expect much after Tehran but we lucked out to have Ali for 6 days from Yazd to Kerman. We traveled great distance from Yazd to Kerman and our ride was smooth; we never had to wait to be picked up and we always got dropped off just a few steps to the attractions. As far as communication goes, Ali speaks perfect English and Persian (lol). On top of that Ali is knowledgeable, patient, kind, fun-loving and passionate about his own history and heritage (and poetry!!). We felt safe the entire time (even walked barefoot in the Lut desert) and our trip was definitely more memorable because of Ali and Omir the driver. In the end, it was more like travelling with two good friends. One bonus point I want to point out is Ali’s knowledge of good restaurants. All the places he brought us for lunch, the local snacks he picked and all the restaurant recommendations we got from him for dinner were, for lack of a better word, AWESOME! And I have photos to show for it, lol. Iran is a magnificent country rich in history, culture, natural scenery and the Persian cuisine will have you eating non-stop. However, a great tour guide will enhance your experience all the more. I highly recommended Ali and would not think twice to contact him again for my next visit.

Ali is warm, energetic and enthusiastic. He speaks fluent English, and has a deep knowledge and love of his country. Moreover, he could answer and explain the very obscure questions I asked him about history, language and culture, among other things. He was also flexible in suggesting and including sites not specifically mentioned in our itinerary when they were on the route, so we saw and appreciated places we might not have seen otherwise. I had wanted to visit Iran for 25 years, some places in particular. Ali understood the importance of these unusual sites to me, and kindly gave me plenty of time to absorb their atmosphere, although it sometimes meant a long day’s drive for him. He is an excellent driver and I felt safe with him.
Roya is warm, wise and knowledgeable. She speaks English well and is a skilful driver. She was passionate and well informed about the places that she guided us around, as well as some I visited without a guide. She took special note of our interests and suggested places that we might find worthwhile and enjoyable to visit. She also contacted local people in my areas of interest for more information and to answer queries that she and Ali weren't sure about. Her very personalised, warm-hearted service went above and beyond the call of duty. Iran is a truly magnificent country of superb landscapes, ancient history, splendid architecture and especially its welcoming people. Roya and Ali are the embodiment of my deep experience of Iran, the journey of my lifetime.

For sure, I will ask his support in my next trip to there. Regards.

I visited Iran in 2017 and was guided by Ali Jadidan in Yadz and Shiraz. It was an excellent experience. I can't recommend him more, but since I enjoyed tremendously both his company and that of his wife Roya's, here's what I will say about Ali (and Roya)!
- has an excellent grasp of English - very good knowledge about the sites we visited and provided me with a great introduction to Persian history (which is endlessly fascinating) - flexible and accomodating Found us a Varzesh-e Pahlavani (heroic sport performance)! :-) - exudes warmth and buoyancy of personality and a great sense of humour - a safe driver and has great stamina - wonderfully hospitable (and I can never thank them enough for hosting us at home) - very patient with incessant photo taking and question posing :-)
Ali and Roya do not need to advertise or play act, they are themselves as Iranians who are proud of their history and heritage and enjoy sharing it.

First and foremost Iran is the most
amazing, wonderful country.I loved
every minute of it.I felt completyely
safe and I was overwhelmed by how warm, friendly and welcoming the Persians
are.Iknew that I would find the cities beautiful and Persian architecture
amazing. What I had no idea of was how
spectacular the countryside of Iran is.The mountains are majestic. The
landscape constantly changes.It is a
vast, ancient, magnificient land.
I am so grateful I had Ali and Roya as my
guides for some of my time in Iran. Ali
was my driver guide for 8 days around North Azerbeyan province. He also provided transfers between cities
with sightseeing, and also tours around Yazd.
To my delight, his wife Roya, also a guide, joined us for the transfer
from Isfahan to Yazd and the day tours around Yazd. She also provided a day tour of Yazd herself
and the transfer from Yazd to Shiraz including Passagade and Persepolis.
Ali is a quiet, gentle man with a beautiful
smile, a gentle sense of humour and a great love and knowledge of his
country. He is always happy to answer
questions no matter how “difficult” they might be. His English is excellent. He is thoughtful, kind and generous and was
always willing to offer me an arm when I found the terrain a bit difficult (I
walk with the aid of a stick). Ali would
buy things like cold drink or fruit along the way as well as making the
essential stops for lunch and toilets.
Ali’s driving was excellent and I felt safe with him at all times.
Roya was amazing.I always felt she was fiercely on my
side.She would negotiate with local
artisans always insisting that I be charged Iranian prices rather than the
marked up tourist price. This meant that
she did not receive a commission from these sellers and she was clear that this
was a practice she did not like.As with
Ali her knowledge of the sites we visited and the history or Iran is vast. Her driving is excellent and her English is
good.Roya has a warm and generous
heart.
As I reflect on what I have valued most
about Ali and Roya it is their warmth, their generosity, their knowledge and
intelligence, and their integrity.I
found them to be utterly trustworthy.

My friend Petra and I contacted Mohammad following a very positive recommendation from our guest house when we wanted to visit some Zoroastrian sites outside of Yazd and were keen to gain a greater knowledge of this religion. On Mohammad's recommendation we also visited a number of other areas for this day trip and we enjoyed all of his recommendations. In fact, so much so that we ended up asking him to act as our guide and driver from Yazd to Shiraz, visiting a number of historical sites on the way. Mohammad's historical knowledge is endless and he is also open to cultural questions and has a great sense of humour. His car is very comfortable and we felt felt very safe with his driving. Spending time with and getting to know Mohammad was definitely a highlight of our trip to Iran!

unforgettable experience Mohammad Hesani was our driver/guide during our amazing 8 days-trip in Iran. Together, we visited Shiraz, Persepolis, Naqsh-e Rostam, Yazd, Varzaneh desert, Isfahan, Kashan. Thanks to him, we fell in love with this beautiful country and managed to understand some aspects of Iranian culture which for an Italian traveller may not be so easy to get. Our overall opinion of Mohammad is more than good. Professionally, we can say he is very prepared: he has a deep knowledge of Iranian history and culture and he proved to be ready to face any inconvenience that occurred and solve any problems with a very calm and reassuring attitude. His mission was to make us happy, so he was costantly trying to meet our desires, very often by anticipating our needs as only an experienced guide can do. He was flexible and always ready to modify the schedule according to our requests, or to make suggestions about what he thought it could be worth visiting, even if it was not included in the itinerary (such as when he brought us for a quick visit at Qom on the way back to Tehran - and it was really worth it!). He is also a perfect driver, we always felt safe with him. He is very calm, peaceful and generous but also very friendly and funny when it comes to have a laugh. In the week together we got really close and now we are still in contact as friends. Should I go back to Iran - and we hope it will happen someday - we would definitely choose Mohammad again as our guide.

From the very beginning of meeting Ali, I knew I would have an awesome trip. He is polite, courteous and has a great sense of humour. I haven't laughed so much on a trip. Ali is also an extremely intelligent gentleman, who has not just ample knowledge about his own country, but alot about other places in the world. He is an avid reader ( he showed me his extensive library when he invited me to his home for a family dinner ). Ali has a remarkable grasp on numbers and facts. Even things I told him or names of people at the beginning of the trip, were sharp in his mind to the very end of the trip two weeks later!
Ali got me safely and promptly to each destination in my two week trip. He made sure I was comfortable, bringing me drinks and having a stock of delicious snacks in his car. He never rushed me and allowed me to take my time for any videos or photographs I was taking at sights. He was also an excellent photographer for pics of me and knew how to capture beautiful angles of the backdrops behind me. They will be photographs I cherish for ever.
We quickly became friends and had long wonderful chats in the car about many different topics which really passed the time for some of those long drives. We also spent alot of evenings chilling out in hotel yards chatting endlessly about many topics. He also introduced me to his lovely charming wife, Roya, who came with us on our tours in Yazd, their home city. Ali and his wife were kind enough to host me in their family home for lunch. Treating me to home made food and snacks. In their house, we read lots of amazing persian poetry from Hafez and Rumi plus many more interesting literature from their great library.
Roya, Ali's wife, was excellent at organising lovely restaurants last minute. The food was always a fine choice. Roya even managed to secure a booking for a Persian bath house, when the hosts refused initially, saying they were fully booked.
It was truly a pleasure to have met Ali. I can safely say he will be a lifelong friend and I hope to travel on another adventure with him. If not Iran, we will meet up again somewhere in the middle east, or maybe even Europe!
Please do not hesitate to visit Iran with Ali. He's truly passionate about his country and a great ambassador for Iran. He is a honest person trying to make a living in a very challenging country with hyper inflation and taxes.
Finally, please do not listen to all the media has to say. I have visited over 40 countries plus and I have never felt safer and more welcome! It would be a great shame if you missed this fantastic country and it's wonderful people.
