Day 1

TEHRAN

Arriving at IKA airport, your tourist guide will greet and accompany you to your hotel. You will have time to rest and relax, before your morning tour of Tehran commences.
Tehran, a modern megalopolis, prides itself on having unique museums and unrivaled collections and artifacts dating from the earliest onset of history to the present era. Your tour will take you to some of the most famous museums in the country.
First of all we will take you to visit the Golestan palace a world heritage site which was built during the Qajarid dynasty. This fabulous complex is surrounded by a beautiful garden full of plane trees and several pools. You can even find some beautiful parrots here in the heart of Tehran. Then we will walk to Tehran grand Bazaar where we can find a restaurant to try the Persian cuisine. In the afternoon you will head to Iran national museum. Here you will have the chance to get familiar with the ancient civilizations in Iran . Your last stop will be Carpet museum.

Day 2

MASOULE-ANZALI - 6 hours driving

Today we will drive north to Bandar Anzali. Beautiful sceneries of northern Iran have always attracted our guests. On the way we have one stop to visit Masouleh Village which is at least a millennium old. It is one of Iran’s most famous stair-like villages. Some small handicrafts that you will find here are good souvenirs. Continue our journey to Bandar Anzali. Then you will boat in Anzali lagoon.

Day 3

ARDEBIL - 5 hours driving

After breakfast we will drive to Ardebil. Visit the world heritage site of the Mausoleum of Safi-Ad-Din-e-Ardebili which was built between the beginning of the 16th century and the end of the 18th century. The Safavids spared no expense in enriching and decorating the structure of the shrine of their ancestor with many works of art. The shrine became a focus for pilgrims from around the world and a religious ensemble containing outstanding works of art, ornamentation, and archaeology from the 14th to the 18th centuries.

Day 4

TABRIZ - 3 hours driving

Today you’ll travel to Tabriz. Tabriz is home to one of the most cultured races in Iran, the Azaris. First stop is to visit Eil Goli park where the water resource was used for agricultural purposes. Then we’ll visit Tabriz Grand Bazaar which is one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East and the largest covered traditional bazaar in the world. From the bazaar we will go to Kabood Mosque. You’ll end your tour with visiting Tomb of Shahriyar.

Day 5

JOLFA-TABRZI - 5 hours driving

Today you will have an excursion outside the city.You’ll travel to Jolfa to visit the UNESCO-listed Armenia church of St Stephanos 17km from Jolfa overlooking the Aras River. It is recorded that the church was built in the 9th century AD, but repeated earthquakes in Azerbaijan completely eroded the previous structure.

Day 6

TAKAB - 5 hours driving

Your overland journey continues to Kandovan village where the houses resemble caves similar to Cappodocia in Turkey. Some researches attribute these houses to the seventh century AH, Mongol’s invasion times. The only material used in the houses is stone. It is located to the southwest of Tabriz. Moving towards Takab to visit TakhteSoleyman, a UNESCO world heritage site which is an ancient fire temple dates back to Sassanid period.

Day 7

HAMADAN - 4 hours driving

Leaving Takab behind we’ll drive to Hamadan. En route we will visit Alisadr Cave which is the world’s largest water cave. It is believed that this cave is 130 million years old. Its walls can extend up to 40 meters high, and it contains several large, deep lakes. Then we drive to Hamadan to visit Ganjname inscriptions which are relics from the period of Darius and Xerxes of the Achaemenian era.

Day 8

KERMANSHAH - 3 hours driving

In the morning we will drive to Hamedan. Hamadan is believed to be among the oldest Iranian cities. It is possible that it was occupied by the Assyrians in 1100 BCE. Hamadan is on one of the age-old Asia to Mediterranean caravan routes. Your tour includes visits to the Tomb of AvicennaGonbad-e Alavian (Alaviyan Dome), Tomb of Ester and Mordechai. Then drive to Kermanshah. En route visit Bisotun, a world heritage site, where there is a highly significant historical bas-relief and inscription displaying and recounting how Darius the Great (526 BCE) crushed his enemies.

Day 9

SHUSHTAR - 6 hours driving

Leaving Kermanshah behind today, it’s time to head into Shushtar. we’ll have a full day driving. Our first stop will be the ancient site of ChoghaZanbil to see the exquisite beauty of Ziggurat. This world heritage site dates back to the Elamites which means 1200 BC. We’ll drive to the next city known as Shoushtar which is known for its waterfalls and mills, and the oldest water reservoir system of Persia. Visit the Historical Hydraulic System (A registered site in UNESCO world heritage).

Day 10

SHIRAZ - 9 hours driving

A wonderful tour out of the city awaits you. The route from Ahvaz to Shiraz is long but worth taking. We have two stops on our way to Shiraz: the remains of the ancient City of Bishapour and the reliefs of Tange Chogan meaning The Valley of Polo where Royal Sassanids used to play polo. Here you can see the carved images of Sassanid kings.

Day 11

SHIRAZ

Shiraz has a great reputation as an enlightened city that has been at the center of Persian culture for more than 2,000 years and was at one time the country’s capital. Shiraz is crowned as the heartland of Persian culture and this city of sophistication will often conjure up images of roses and nightingales, gardens and poetry.
After breakfast we will start exploring Shiraz with Nasir Almolk Mosque to visit its marvelous prayer hall. Next place will be Narenjestan Garden which dates back to Qajar era in 19th century. Only a few minutes walking to reach Vakil Bazaar and Saray-e-moshir with its splendid architecture and ethnic souvenir shops. Here you will have enough time to look for small pieces of handicrafts.
Shiraz is home to famous poets such as Hafez and Sa’adi; we shall visit their tombs and in the evening go to the Mausoleum of Shah Cheragh.

Day 12

PERSEPOLIS-NECROPOLIS-YAZD - 5 hours driving

A full day driving to Yazd. On the way we will visit three UNESCO world heritage sites.

First we will stop in Persepolis; the legendary city of the Persians which was founded by Darius I in 518 B.C. It was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire. Darius planned this impressive complex of palaces not only as the seat of government but also, and primarily, as a show place and a spectacular center for the receptions and festivals of the Achaemenid kings and their empire.
Continue driving to reach Necropolis as the magnificent burial place of Achaemenid kings. The site also provides seven bas-reliefs dating back to the Elamite and Sassanid periods.  Finally we head to Pasargad to visit the tomb of Cyrus the great the founder of the first Persian empire. It was also the first capital of the Persian empire. Drive to Yazd.

Day 13

YAZD

Yazd; bride of the desert, with its sun-dried adobe buildings, has a unique architecture which is adopted to the desert that surrounds it. This ancient city is furnished with mosques of stunning beauty which co-exist with Zoroastrian holy sites.
Your tour will start after breakfast with visiting the Towers of Silence. Lace up your shoes firmly to climb up one of the towers. There are several fascinating stories behind this place. There is a great view where you can look over the whole site and surrounding area.

You will continue your sightseeing in Yazd at the Zoroastrian Fire temple. Fire temples were originally built to keep fire whereas they gradually became more important and used by Zoroastrians as a place f worship.

Next place to visit is Amir Chakhmagh Square; the symbol of Yazd Which was built by order of the ruler of the city in 14th century. Next site will be Water Museum which is a few steps far from Amir cahakhmagh Square. Here you will have the chance to get familiar with the underground water system in the desert. After lunch we’ll walk around the graceful Dolat Abad Garden which is a typical example of a Persian garden.

You will end your tour with strolling through the old town of Yazd which is one of the most outstanding sites that you will visit in Iran. Before leaving the old town you will visit the impressive Jame mosque of Yazd too.

Day 14

ESFAHAN - 4 hours driving

In the morning we will drive toward Esfehan; It’s nice to have some nuts for the journey. We’ll have some stops in the ancient city of Meybod which is known as the city of pottery and ceramic. Firs we will visit the graceful Abbasi Caravansary where travelers could stay overnight and had some warm food in 17th and 18th centuries. You will marvel at the peaceful atmosphere of this Caravansary. You will also visit the Ice house; a huge monument that was built to provide ice for people of the desert. Next up is Narin Castle one of the largest adobe buildings in Iran. Exploring the five-story building of castle, you’ll delve more deeply into the region’s history. You’ll end your exploration by visiting the Pigeon Tower. Entering through a short door you’ll be shocked to see the large number of the nests of pigeons on the walls. Then we will stop in Nain to visit Jame Mosque of Nain with its peaceful underground winter part.

ESFAHAN

The wealthy city of Esfahan was one of the world’s greatest cities during the Safavid time in 17th century. The fame of Esfahan led to the Persian pun and proverb “Esfahan nesf-e- jahan ast.” Esfahan is half the world. It is the pearl of traditional Islamic archaeology. There are many contemporary artists who work in Esfahan.
Your tour includes the famed Royal Square (Naqsh-e-Jahan), which is UNESCO world heritage site and the second largest square in the world. We will visit the architectural marvels of Sheikh Lotfollah and Imam Mosques, Aliqapu Palace and Chehel Sutoon Palace. At the bazaar you may purchase the arts and crafts for which Esfahan is so well renowned. Here, we have art, architecture, spirituality, luxury, commerce and social life all together.

Day 16

ESFAHAN

After breakfast you will visit the Atiq Jame mosque which has been built in different Islamic periods from 9th century to Qajar era(18th centure). Then you will visit Vank church, the magnificent Armenian church with eye-catching paintings. Next one on the agenda is Music museum, by visiting Music museum you get familiar with Persian music history. Your last stops will be Si-o-Se pol and Khajou bridges.

Day 17

KASHAN - 3 hours driving

This morning we will drive to Kashan. On the way of Kashan you will visit nice village of Abyaneh which is an ancient village with a unique culture. here we will appreciate the serenity of this quaint village with its splendid archaeology and meet the dwellers who speak, live and dress in the original Persian style. The first stop in Kashan is Fin garden; one of the Persian gardens that are registered as UNESCO world heritage sites. This relaxing Persian garden with turquoise water channels and pavilions will give you a peaceful mind. After checking into the hotel and resting, you will visit Kashan traditional bazaar where you will have the chance to buy or drink some rose water, a local specialty.

Day 18

QOM-DEPART IRAN - 2 hours driving

This morning we will get familiar with the traditional desert style houses which are the most prominent characteristics of Kashan. We will get a chance to visit two of them , Borujerdi-ha and Tabatabaei-ha houses. They were both built in the reign of Qajar dynasty and the owners were two well known carpet merchants. Tabatabaei-ha house has more than forty rooms. After visiting Sultan ahmad bath house, drive to Airport. En route visit Fatima holy shrine in Qom, the second most popular holy shrine in Iran. This Holy shrine is one of the most popular sites among tourists.

Our representative will transfer you to the airport according to your flight time to depart Iran.
