DESCRIPTION
Did you know that thick rainy forest and green area of Iran are located only in three coastal provinces of Mazandaran, Golestan and Gilan alongside of Caspian Sea? With size of 58.242 km2 is larger than whole Switzerland (41.285 km2) and yet it does not include forests of some mountainous areas of Kurdistan (Uramanat), Ilam and Azerbaijan!
Many of endangered and rare species are living in these green mountainous areas. It’s raining half of the year and has several lakes and rivers and waterfalls, indeed if you take a 1000 km road trip along the Caspian Sea and take photos of nature and many residential areas, you could easily confuse them with Switzerland…
So NO! Iran is not all dried and desert. It has almost all the nature on the globe in 1.5 million km2 and that’s why it’s so hard to abandon this bloody heavenly land for ever.
Day 1
LOCAL HOUSE
Today you get familiar with Kados (Taleshi) Tribe and their culture. Then we head to the top of Talesh and enjoy the rail-sledge with a beautiful landscape. After that we will go to Aq Oylar and Meryan neighborhood to visit the historical bath, summer palace of commander Amjad. Also you have this chance to visit Shileh vasht Waterfall. Stay overnight in a Local house.
Day 2
CAMPING
After breakfast we will go to the heart of nature. We will go inside the Hyrcanian jungle to reach the intact area of Khotbeh Sara. We will visit some plant spices which are in danger of becoming extinct. Stay overnight in an ecolodge beside the river and mountains.
Day 3
CAMPING
We pass through the Gisum tree tunnel coastal road. Then we will drive in one of the most beautiful roads in Iran, Asalem – Khalkhal and cloud Forest. Then we start our trekking in Diamond plain and Vorgeh (wolf) valley.
Day 4
DEPART
After having an organic breakfast, we will visit the summer-quarters and mountainous area of Tularood. Then we will visit Dushi castle and enjoy trekking in the jungle.
